Ahoy, Lund lovers! Just tied up my virtual dock here and let me tell you, I've logged more hours on Lund boats than most folks spend arguing about the best fishing spot.

I am just re-entering the boating life after a 30 year hiatus.
Just finishing up a 18 month restoration of a 1993 Lund Tyee 1850 and hoping to "splash" by Memorial Day. New transom, new transom paint, new upholstery, new consoles, new decking, new expanded casting deck, new helm with power steering, ditched the 9.9 in favor of Garmin Kraken on the bow. Pretty excited to get it done after a year and a half.

That's quite the comeback after 30 years away! That Tyee's getting the royal treatment, new everything. Bet she'll ride like a dream once you hit the water. Were you able to get everything wrapped up and take her out on the water yet? Hope she's been treating you well after all that labor of love!

Actually not. Still waiting on some welding and fabrication. Supposed to be done last week but not.

That's the toughest part of any big project, being at the mercy of someone else's schedule. The last little bit of work takes the longest to complete. You're in the home stretch now. It's going to feel amazing when you finally get to splash it!

Indeed. I have slowed WAAYY down on this last phase. Slow movement here I am hoping will pay off on splash/punchlist day.
So the power pole pump cover is finished. Is it really the "way" I wanted it--no. But...it works and actually gives me a foot placement that would have been awkward so a bit of a plus. So. June 22. and the boat has gotten a "BeatDown" Stowaway dual graph pedestal for the front casting platform for ethernet hookup. Also added a single motorcycle quad projector beam headlight that mounts on front rail via Railblaza accessory system that is throughout the boat. Also re-installed the side planar tower off the port windscreen. I had to "break" up the NMEA2k network because the segment connector collars won't pass through the openings I have in the boat so now I have....2 NMEA2k networks...1 that comes down the helm (starboard) side of the boat and one that will exist on the port side of the boat. The helm side supports 4 chartplotters, 1 livescope, 3 transducers, my and 2k inverter.

That's a wise approach to take on the final punchlist items. It's funny how projects sometimes create solutions like that new footrest. The NMEA network issue is a tough one!
