At 71 and a retired Lake Erie Charter Owner and guide, owning several boats both fiberglass and aluminum, I purchased my first Lund. I found a 1959 Tyee Magnum GS, 1995 year model,,,, practically new. With new power, electronics, and rigged better than my last charter boat!
This boat has never been moored in the water, garage kept its whole life in a climate controlled garage. less than 20 hours on the new Hondas, I have the bill of sale for w/4 years factory warranty left on both, new 36v Ti5 Motor Guide w/ pinpoint module and NMEA backbone to the HDS12 Lowrance 3rd gen, as well as new Dakota 36v LiFePo4 battery with 11 yr warranty. Loaded with Berts custom rod holders corral and mounts, as well as 2 Cannon swivel mounts and riggers.
Trailer was just serviced with new tires, and basic maintenance, Marine radio as well as the factory sound system and unused 6 piece Bimini set. 10 inline plainer boards, 5 starboard and 5 port, 2 each side yellow birds with tattle tails, 2 each side churches, and 1 set each side larger boards not sure of brand. 1 new interstate starting battery, and 2 year old interstate 100sh deep cycles.
I must say I'm ashamed to say I never gave Lunds a look, I've owned from 14 to 21 foot Sea Nymph. Starcraft, Sylvan, Ocheata, and can't believe the differance in build quality over all those with this Tyee. It is hands down better than any tin boat I have owned, and obviously! I have to address the livewell valves, and maybe cables, but other than that this boat is as nice as new.
I cant wait for Erie and the Detroit river to fire up come March, as well as Lake Michigan come April. Like a kid again, and glad to be here in Lund Nation!
